Research on the brain and its diseases is one of our most important areas of activity. Since foundation the advancement of research on causes and therapy of multiple sclerosis has been a focus of our work. Furthermore, we support those affected by MS and help breaking down prejudices. Brain research is extremely relevant to society: the incidence and cost of neurological disorders are high and will continue to rise – partly as a result of demographic change. Brain research can lead to new socially and economically relevant insights, e.g. for education and information technology. The results of brain research are increasingly being used to understand humankind and human identity.
