The Business Council for Democracy (#BC4D) project is an initiative aimed at strengthening liberal democracy. The project aims to impart basic knowledge and skills to understand the impact of digital processes on democracy, in collaboration with companies. BC4D provides training for employees to learn about the spread of hate speech, targeted disinformation, and conspiracy narratives, and to take action against it. The initiative is supported by the Hertie Foundation, the Robert Bosch Foundation, and the Institute for Strategic Dialogue Germany.
At the same time, the Business Council for Democracy (BC4D) is a cross-industry network spanning all career levels. It brings together people who are actively committed to democracy, want to exchange ideas with like-minded individuals, and stay informed about the latest research, trends, and risks: from disinformation and polarization to resilient corporate culture and effective participation.
