The Jugend entscheidet project is transforming local politics by providing young people with the opportunity to actively make decisions, while simultaneously teaching municipalities how to successfully involve them. Through an innovative and professionally moderated process, political engagement among young people is fostered, and municipalities gain a better understanding of their needs. Young people acquire a profound understanding of democracy and local politics. In the first nationwide call for participation, 115 towns and municipalities joined, with ten being selected to unleash the potential of young people in local political issues.
